Ribbon Mer
Something I have been working on before Web Design class. I designed her during chapel, and it isn't done yet. Thought I should show the progress on her, anyhow.

Roughskin characters
The main character from my NaNoWriMo novel this year. Her name is Charlesetta, though when she is masquerading as a black servant, she is called Roughskin. Based on the Grimm's fairy tale, "The Princess in Disguise."
I used the same face (copied and pasted) for Setta's transformed self. I wanted to see how much she would change simply with different colours.

And here's Warwick. I think he's a little too suave right now... have to make him less so.

Nathan Colour Test
This is from the animation "I Think I Might Be" that a friend and I worked on last year. It got into the Chicago International Film Festival. Anyhow, for my TA work in a drawing animation class, I am testing out the workflow for ink and paint in Toon Boom. So this was the test clip I did, since all the drawings from this animation were already here.

Website designs
I'm auditing Web Design this semester. Anyone who is on speaking terms with me has probably heard me complain, but regardless, here are some website mock ups I have made:

First is a site for my webcomic in training, OwlPuffs.
Second, a concept I had that will probably never come to pass called Geek Standard. Basically, it is a place to connect people (localized friends, possibly on a campus) who are interested in World of Warcraft, Magic: The Gathering, DotA and Dungeons & Dragons. Basically the shots below would be the home page where you can then navigate to whichever page you want to visit. There might be a forum there, tips and tricks, news on the respective game, stuff like that. Calendars to plan events.
There would be an Alliance and Horde version of the site to either happen randomly or for the viewer to pick before entering the site. Probably the former because that would get annoying to do it each time.
Anyhow, the home page would just have general news about the group, shout outs, stuff like that.

3D Poses
For my 3D Character Animation class, we have to do weekly "life drawing" poses in Maya. I.E. we are given emotions and we have to pose a rig to show that emotion. Here are the ones I have done thus far:
This one was for the emotion "Excited." I wanted to do something more subtle and less "Yahooey!" I think he looks a little more timid, though. Maybe... maybe excited timidity.

This was for "Devastation." I was labeled a "baby killer" after this pose. I think I might want to try having the adult figure's face not pointed at the kid, but sort of straight ahead in a hopeless disbelief.
And this was "Confidence." I practice this pose in front of the mirror every day before classes to assure myself of my confidence. Oh yes.

100th post!
Horray! This is my 100th post! Unfortunately I don't have anything truly 100th post worthy to show you, but I thought I would make the announcement anyhow.
This is a little something I doodled on the front of a card to someone recently:

Also, in an attempt to make this post less lame, I will just throw this one in here, as well. This is the watercolour I did for my friends' wedding this summer. This painting is magical in the sense that both of their animals have learned to levitate! Gasp!
One key thing I learned when I did this painting is if a frame says it has an 8x10 opening, that is a ruddy lie. It has a less than 8x10 opening, so if you are planning your picture assuming an 8x10 opening, you will be sorely disappointed. Due to that fact, the lower part of this painting was cut of; the words, that is. Which I can't say is really a horrible loss, so I wasn't heartbroken about it. A fun little surprise for them would have awaited were they to take it out of its frame. Of course now they will be able to see here anyhow. So no worries.

Rambling complete!
